This week students will:
- Examine the relationship between leadership skills, traits and behavior and employee motivation.
- Compare the ERG theory of motivation and Maslow’s theory of motivation.
- Evaluate the three theories of situational leadership and how each relates to leadership within an organization.
Introduction
For Week Five, the focus will be on leadership traits, skills, and behaviors. A review of leadership theories and how they influence leadership practices is included. This week’s content will also examine the concept of motivation and how effective leadership practices influence employee motivation and productivity.
Your initial discussion thread is due on Day 3 (Thursday) and you have until Day 7 (Monday) to respond to your classmates. Your grade will reflect both the quality of your initial post and the depth of your responses.
