Topic of Paper: The Effects of Low Literacy on Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME)
Grading Rubric and Subheadings below:
- The outline of the paper should be as follows using the following subheadings:
- Introduction (15)
- Problem Statement describing why the concept being taught is appropriate (10)
- Assessment of Pts. Knowledge and health literacy (10)
- Cultural Considerations (10)
- DSME Plan (20)
- Evaluation: describe how you will determine if pt. has mastered skill or competency (see grading rubric for point distribution) (10)
- Paper should be written in APA format or other approved in advance by Faculty. (5)
- References should be no fewer than 5. One must be a guideline for care from diabetes organization, 3 primary research sources and one may be a review article. (10)
- Paper should be at least 6 pages and not exceed 10 not counting the title or reference pages.
All topics have to be approved by Course Faculty (10)
