Besides, Carlos has trouble with Positive Identity, which might make him feel rejected and unworthy because of what he has experienced in the past and the absence of a family. Because of trauma, rejection, and the feeling of having little control, his Positive Identity is probably damaged. They are important for Carlos’s development, mainly when he has recently been through trauma, helping him trust others, feel safe emotionally, and value himself. Planning Part 1. Create a plan of care for this patient taking into account their health problems and needs. The plan of care for Carlos focuses on building emotional support and fostering a positive identity. He will be referred to trauma-informed therapy to address his past trauma and learn coping strategies. A consistent daily routine will be established in the foster home to create a sense of safety (Hards et al., 2022).
