These and many other topics are worthy of discussion. Not surprisingly, much has been said in the research, within the profession, and in the news about these topics. Whether they are issues of finance, quality, workload, or outcomes, there is no shortage of changes to be addressed.
In this Discussion, you examine a national healthcare issue and consider how that issue may impact your work setting. You also analyze how your organization has responded to this issue.

Expert Answer and Explanation
National Healthcare Issues
Healthcare is an important factor of consideration in every society. Countries spend a lot of resources on improving healthcare since a healthy population is needed for economic growth. However, there have been challenges that have limited the effectiveness of available healthcare services.
Stressor Selected
Holistic Individual Health is a national healthcare stressor that needs to be addressed. In nursing, identifying and improving the overall medical and environmental well-being has been challenging (Jacobs et al., 2018). The work setting in nursing is largely affected since the demand for improved healthcare services to the patients is in high demand.
However, many patients are not able to afford these crucial services that would help their health improve. In that regard, most patients opt to seek affordable alternatives (Norful et al., 2018). These methods might not be effective and might make their situation worse. Nonetheless, a nurse must know the best complementary medicines that patients can use to improve their health affordably.
Addressing Current Healthcare Issues
Nurses have been encouraged to work on patient education to teach society on ways of promoting self-care wellness. The lifestyles that people have adopted have contributed to many health conditions, such as obesity. When society learns about what is likely to jeopardize their health, the number of patients in healthcare facilities is likely to go down (Poghosyan et al., 2018).
Exercise and spiritual counseling have been practiced for decades and have helped people remain healthy. Nurses are also required to offer education on alternative and complementary therapies recommended for improving the health of an individual. Current healthcare issues need to be addressed so that more people by ensuring that nurses have sufficient knowledge to educate society on alternative methods to western medications that are affordable.

FAQs
National healthcare issues
There are several national healthcare issues that are of concern to policymakers, healthcare providers, and patients in many countries. Some of these issues include:
- Access to healthcare: Many people do not have access to healthcare services, either because they cannot afford it or because they live in rural or underserved areas where healthcare facilities are scarce.
- Rising healthcare costs: The cost of healthcare services is increasing rapidly, making it difficult for individuals and families to afford necessary care.
- Quality of care: While many people have access to healthcare, the quality of care they receive can vary greatly, and there is a need to improve the quality of care provided by healthcare providers.
- Chronic disease management: Chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer are on the rise, and there is a need for effective management and prevention strategies.
- Mental health: Mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and addiction are becoming more prevalent, and there is a need for increased access to mental health services.
- Healthcare workforce shortage: There is a shortage of healthcare workers in many countries, which can make it difficult to provide adequate care to patients.
- Health disparities: There are significant disparities in health outcomes among different racial and ethnic groups, as well as among people of different socioeconomic backgrounds.
Addressing these national healthcare issues requires a multifaceted approach that involves policymakers, healthcare providers, and the general public. This may include increasing access to care, improving the quality of care, addressing the root causes of chronic disease, increasing mental health services, expanding the healthcare workforce, and addressing health disparities through targeted interventions.
